Just one more in the cycle of charity events

I WONDER if your readers can assist me.

I am writing a guide to exploring the Ordnance Survey triangulation pillars (trig points) of Sussex on foot.

On most recent Ordnance Survey maps there is a trig point shown on the foot/cycle path at Toddington linking Worthing Road with the eastern end of Brookfield Park, just below (south of) the A259 Rustington by-pass.

However when I explored the area recently, the pillar did not seem to be there.

I should be extremely grateful if any reader can advise me whether the trig point still exists, or whether it has now been removed and/or destroyed.

Very many thanks for your assistance.
