Horrible end for Dusty

PLEASE would the man who allowed his dog off the lead in River Road last Wednesday evening come forward?

As he is aware, his dog badly savaged my lovely 14-year-old black-and-white cat and I would like him to know that it resulted in her being put down.

I'm sure a lot of your readers will remember Dusty for her pronounced limp and sunny disposition.

She struggled with her disability this cold winter, but was so looking forward to some sunny days ahead.

It was a horrible and unnecessary way for her to meet her end.

I am hoping the man concerned will be able to show some concern and remorse and perhaps help me towards meeting the veterinary costs incurred.

I also hope this sad and sorry tale will serve as a reminder to all dog owners to please keep your dogs on their leads where appropriate.
