The young people received their bronze, silver & gold certificates from Hilary Maywood, Service Manager- Youth Support & Development Service in West Sussex County Council.

The young people all completed personal programmes undertaking some volunteering in the community, learning a skill and participating in a physical activity. In addition they all completed an expedition, which they planned & undertook in teams. Bronze achievers did their expedition locally on the South Downs, Silver achievers completed theirs in the Peak District & Gold Achievers in the Brecon Beacons or Lake District, all experiencing various challenging situations, especially the extremes of weather. Their participation & achievements have given them new skills, confidence and a view on life that everyone from employers to colleges and universities are looking for, as well as making new friends and have some fun whilst doing it.
