Comforting thought of 900 years of church walls

The description of the photo of Fr. Tom Mendle mundanely setting up his camera for live streaming (Online Congregations Have More Than Doubled, click here to read) is in fact a photo of Fr. Tom Mendle holding the chalice or ‘sacred cup’, the centuries old tradition of Christ’s Easter cup of life.
It is comforting to know the old walls of St. Mary’s, that have seen off 900 years of plagues and wars.
