Helping hand needed for two Angmering groups

VOLUNTEERS with the drive and passion to help two community groups in Angmering are being called upon this week.
The Angmering Community Centre runs many classes and activities, like this computer club. The centre is now hunting for a new volunteer for its drop-in café L42563H13The Angmering Community Centre runs many classes and activities, like this computer club. Firstly, the Angmering Youth Forum is looking for a bus driver to operate its double-decker, mobile youth club.

The bus was purchased and developed by a team of volunteers a few years ago and has gone from strength to strength ever since.

It features a non-alcoholic bar and chill-out area for youngsters.

The forum’s main aim is to help inspire children to achieve better things, learn essential life skills and keep them away from anti-social behaviour.

The volunteer would become part of this group and would help to drive the bus across the area.

The second opportunity in the village is as a drop-in café assistant at the Angmering Community Centre, in Foxwood Avenue.

The centre serves a wide section of the community from children right up to the area’s local elderly residents.

It runs a range of activities and hosts a number of community groups.

The volunteer café assistant would help to keep stomachs full and thirsts quenched for centre users.

Ideally, someone is needed to cover Wednesday mornings. But any time that people can spare would be appreciated.
