Churches run like a business

Having visited most of our local churches within the last five years I have come to the following conclusion.

• The churches are operating like a business.

• The officials of the churches receive grant/grants to serve the community but do they?

• The officials of the churches choose who they want to frequent the services they provide.

• They say all are welcome but in reality are they sincere?

• They welcome donations/offerings and coffee but the communication is not warm.

• They do not seem to encourage membership.

For the reasons above I feel that there is no future for any of them and I would welcome any comment to the contrary.

A couple of churches are currently preaching ‘revival’ - this is very encouraging but here again, my evaluation is not very positive and I feel I need to say this for the concern of all of us, Christians or not; we are all children of God.

For those who do not believe in God I say congratulations - you have not allowed yourself to be led; but I testify to you, that if you think you have a good heart and are kind to others then you don’t need to believe in God because He lives in you.

Taking a good look at ourselves, (including myself); should be our goal if we are expecting our prayers to move the hand of God in Hastings.

The love of Christ needs to be in our hearts and in our homes first of all and those who have taken the steps to nurture a church need to remember they are meant to serve the community, not chosen ones.
