Can we learn from the French?
ALCOHOL Concern wait for the government to change the law to make it illegal for children under 15 to consume alcohol at home.
They are concerned at the level of increase in drinking in 11 to 15-year-olds.
I always understood that the French prided themselves in their sensible attitude to young people and alcohol because their children shared the family meal and the alcohol, they grew up with a sensible attitude towards drinking and French society benefited accordingly.
Is this just an old wives tale?
