Open days for new dementia service in Bognor

OPEN days are being held by a Bognor Regis social enterprise to highlight its new service.

Award-winning Frame of Mind is extending its services to people with dementia.

Facts about the service will be explained at the special days on the next two Mondays at its base at 25 Arun Business Park on Shripney Road.

Ian Bates, the organisation’s joint founder, said: “We are offering people with dementia training in picture framing and digital photography in a work-based environment.

“This skills-based training has not really been done people with people with dementia.”

The new service will be available to those who have been diagnosed with dementia.

They will be given a 90-minute slot in which to tour the premises and find out more about the new venture.

Frame of Mind currently works with people with mental health issues and with learning disabilities.

This activity has earned it a host of awards. They include one from West Sussex County Council for showing initiative in a social enterprise and another for its ground-breaking work.
