Avid fan Dee Mackenzie, from Burgess Hill, sent the outlandish jewellery to actress Pam St Clement in the 80s and 90s, which she wore on the show.

She met Pam at a book signing for her autobiography, The End of an Earring, in Brighton.

Dee said: “What next? Complete reading the book and maybe design a special range of Pat Butcher-esque earrings!

“The meeting was really exciting, we had a wonderful time. We chatted about the many earrings that were sent in - to the delight of Pam and the wardrobe mistress.”

Dee presented Pam with Swarovski earrings, which she was ‘delighted’ to accept.

“She remarked on the fact that she loved the sparkly stones,” Dee said.

“It was brilliant, it was really nice. She said she would wear them all, then maybe donate them to raise funds for her favourite charities.

“She has to wear them first though otherwise they aren’t really Pat Butcher’s earrings!”

Dee works for fashion jewellery and accessories supplier Icon Live on York Road, Burgess Hill, who supplied the donations.

“We talked about the company, there were only nine of us when we started out and now there are 300,” she added.
