TJ Board Hire, which already operates in Chichester, will open this Friday, July 8.

The business will offer paddle-board hire, tours and tuition.

Arun District Council, which runs the seafront and oversees all the concessions, has agreed a licence with the company for a trial season to let them ‘test the water’.

Councillor Paul Dendle, Arun District Council’s cabinet member for leisure and amenities, said: “I am delighted to welcome this new concession to Bognor Regis. Paddle-boarding looks like great fun and I’m sure it’ll prove to be a real hit with both residents and visitors.”

Tony Caslin, from TJ Board Hire, said: “We are excited to bring our paddle-boarding and kayak hire business to Bognor Regis. As a local family run business, we are pleased to be able to expand from our current base on Chichester canal and offer these fun activities to local people and holiday makers in Bognor Regis.
