MP's city task

CHARLES Hendry, MP for Wealden, has been appointed by the Conservatives as the new Shadow Minister for Brighton and Hove.

The move is part of an initiative by the party to reconnect with urban areas.

People in the city will be able to feed their ideas and concerns into the Shadow Cabinet via Mr Hendry and help shape the next Conservative manifesto.

Mr Hendry (pictured) will combine the role with his current position as Shadow Minister for Energy, Industry and Postal Services.
