Seven-year-old Dylan Young, of Lyminster Primary School, won £250 for his school, plus a £25 gift card for himself, when he won the Tesco art competition.

The event was aimed at marking the retailer’s new click and collect grocery service, at its store in Broad Piece.

Dylan crafted an eye-catching picture which caught the attention of shop staff, who were judging the competition.

Now, his efforts have been printed on 250 re-usable jute shopping bags which have been given to parents of pupils at Lyminster.

A spokeswoman from Tesco said Dylan was a deserved winner.

She said: “Dylan’s entry was selected by judges for its colour, impact, sense of fun and style.”

The click and collect service is the first of its kind in the town.
