A 29-strong party made the long journey by coach and ferry from Littlehampton to its German twin town for a weekend of friendship, sightseeing and the official anniversary dinner.

Since the first delegation from Durmersheim arrived in Littlehampton in April, 1988, followed by a reciprocal trip to Germany in the October of that year, for the ceremonial signing of the twinning charter, there have been visits between the two communities each year.
