Julian and Sandy's comeback

JULIAN and Sandy, the popular Round the Horne characters from BBC radio archives, will be backing a comeback when they appear at the Goodwood Revival this weekend.

For the past two years Lynchmere actor Paul Bailey has been appearing at the Revival as Julian looking for his friend Sandy.

He is delighted that this year, he has found him in the shape of fellow actor Julian Biggs, also from Lynchmere.

The two were auditioned in May for a performance at Goodwood and have been busy practising the character made so famous by Kenneth Williams and Hugh Paddick ever since.

The pair have been listening to tapes of the original Round the Horne programmes and perfecting the language.

The Goodwood Actors Group have fitted them out in costumes of matching velvet jackets, slightly unusual hats and chiffon scarves and now they are looking forward to their three days' work.
