A few things went wrong in last week’s Voice so I apologise to you all.

The Sports Clubs would like to thank everybody that supported the Open Meeting to discuss proposals for our pavilion held on 15 May.

It was agreed by an overwhelming majority that the village would support a complete new build. The Clubs like to encourage youth development, therefore if any of you would like to play football, stoolball or cricket our contact details are in the Parish Magazine which is available from the Icklesham Village Store.

The Icklesham Players have lost their hardest working and much loved member with the passing of Joan Baker. For over 30 years she worked her socks off as an actress, singer, producer and costume mistress, keeping the Players together and always managing to find the right person for the right job when things seemed doomed to fail. Failure was not in Joan’s vocabulary and her hard work has left the Players in good shape.

So do book your tickets soon to ensure a healthy amount to the hospice. You can get your tickets at Icklesham Village Store or by calling Nicky on 01424 812996 and have them put aside.

Next Monday 11 June the Patient Participation Groups have a Tea Party 2-4pm at the Ferry Road Health Centre Rye in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care to which all are welcome.
