Hospital volunteer uses party to raise funds for the Giraffe Appeal

TO celebrate a signficant birthday, Tricia Robertson, a volunteer from the Friends of St Richard’s Hospital organisation, decided she did not want guests to bring presents to her party.

Instead, she asked her friends to donate the money to charity by ‘feeding’ donations to a large toy giraffe borrowed from Chichester Golf Club.

The sum of £1,050 was raised on the night.

This will go to the Giraffe Appeal, which is trying to raise £17,000 to buy a vital incubator for the babies on the neonatal intensive care unit at St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester.
