Hospital group praised by MPs

Two West Sussex MPs praised the vital contribution made by the Friends of Worthing Hospitals when they saw completed bathroom refurbishment carried out in the Dome wards at Worthing Hospital on Friday.

Tim Loughton (East Worthing and Shoreham) and Peter Bottomley (West Worthing) saw some of the 26 bathrooms that have been upgraded at a total cost of 520,000.

The money provided by the Friends has enabled the final finish of the bathrooms to be raised to the highest possible standards.

Around 70,000 of the money was used to provide high-tech sensor taps, wc flushes and showers, all activated by light, along with improved cladding in the wet rooms, with all features designed to cut down on infection risk.
