Historic Worthing school closes

A PRIVATE school in the town centre closing its doors for good this summer '” leaving shocked parents with just weeks to find their children new schools.

Sandhurst School in Brighton Road announced yesterday (Tuesday, June 3) that it will close on July 10, because it can "no longer continue to offer the standard of education acceptable to parents, or continue to function economically".

Parents received letters on Tuesday telling them of the closure, resulting in many of them spending the day frantically making telephone calls to try and secure their children new school places before the end of the school year.
