Free activity for springtime fun

WITH the warmer weather in sight, now is a great time to think about getting out and about and with Horsham District Council’s Health Walks it’s easy to do.

The new Health Walks programme for April through to June is now on the Council’s website www.horsham.gov.uk and features 265 walks in all. It includes lots of evening walks and walks over Easter and the bank holidays so there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.

Walking is a great form of activity and all the family can join in. It is a fun, free and friendly way to get out and discover the beautiful countryside of the Horsham District.

All the walks are led by welcoming and friendly walk leaders, and there’s no need to book - just turn up.

Jill Shuker, Health Walks Coordinator at Horsham District Council, said: “Look at our programme at www.horshamhealthwalks.co.uk and pick a time and place to suit you and come and join us.

“There is no need for designer wear, just put on your oldest and comfortable gear and get out in the fresh air.

“Walking can do all kinds of good things for your health; it can help you lose weight, maintain healthy blood pressure, relieve stress, help with depression, and keep your heart healthy.
