At least two fire engines were sent to the scene in Langney Rise at about 11.50am.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) said, upon arrival, there was no fire but smoke from overheated food.

Hide AdNo action was taken, ESFRS said, other than advice given from firefighters.
A Home Safety Visit was offered by crews.
