Fire at historic hotel
LEWES High Street was closed to traffic for half an hour early Saturday evening after fire broke out in a chimney at the White Hart Hotel.
Staff and guests were evacuated while fire fighters dealt with the blaze which was first spotted by a young boy walking up Station Street.
Some minor damage was caused to the historic building.
