Birdwatch at Arundel Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust

Every week you read about birds of some sort or another, but do you ever stop and think what birds are anyway? Or rather what makes a bird a bird?

You probab ly have a fair idea of the answer, birds fly ( well most of them anyway), they lay eggs and are covered in feathers. They are highly successful animals, occupying every part of the earth and like us are warm-blooded, regulating their body temperatures through their own metabolism.
