PARISH COUNCIL SURGERY: On the third Saturday of every month between midday and 2pm Jonathan Ritchie and Tony Pope, newly elected councillors, will be at The Foresters Arms to answer any questions on any subject about anything that is worrying you about our village. PRESERVATION SOCIETY: Tonight (Friday) the society invites you to a talk entitled Kent, Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance by David Windsor. David will talk about the vital role the service plays in providing life-serving care 24 hours a day. Starting at 7.30pm in the village hall, admission is free to members, guest very welcome at £4 each. For more information please call Toni Whewell on 01825 872460.

The next walk will be on St George’s Day (April 23) in a lovely bluebell wood near Horham. The walk will meet at 2pm at the Lakeside Café (serving a carvery), everyone welcome. For more details (car sharing etc please call Jenny or Chris on 01825 87283).

SHOW SOCIETY: The Spring Show will take place tomorrow, Saturday. There are a number of classes from cookery and crafts, to gardening and flower arranging. Please call Brian Duke on 841077 for a show programme. Exhibits need to be displayed by 10.30am, judging by 1.30pm followed by a produce auction at 3.30pm and then a raffle draw. Admission 50p.

TWINNING ASSOCIATION: The association is looking forward to the next visit by our friends from Juziers, France on Saturday April 29 to Monday May 1. They are in the 21st year of the exchange visits and look forward to this very enjoyable tradition going, which has led to the formation of lasting friendships.
