Disabled man got stuck in mud

The man, who is believed to be aged in his 50s, got into difficulty in Battle Great Wood just before 4.30pm on Tuesday (September 2).

Fire crews from Battle were called, but in the meantime a passerby had managed to free the man.

Back in March a family had to save a pensioner who got trapped in mud in Battle Great Wood.

The woman and her dog were stuck for an hour.

On the same day a 19-year-old girl also got stuck in mud up to her thighs.
