Suspected illegal immigrants arrested in Slinfold
POLICE units and a helicopter were deployed this morning to search for suspected illegal immigrants in Slinfold, near Horsham.
The alarm was raised when nine people were spotted dashing out of a foreign registered lorry in Stane Street at around 10.30am.
The suspected immigrants, all believed to be men, reportedly bolted into adjoining fields and woods.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police said all nine have now been arrested and detained on suspicion of illegal entry to the country.
