Eastbourne garages broken into by ‘young teens’

Two garages in Eastbourne are suspected to have been broken into by ‘young teens’, police said.

Officers explained that the incident happened in Milfoil Drive in the early hours of Saturday, November 12.

A Sussex Police spokesperson added: “Local residents reported seeing what looked like young teens using a phone light to force open garages, once seen they made a swift retreat. Two of three garages were entered, it is unknown if anything was stolen.”

Residents are asked to remain alert to any suspicious activity in their area and to report any concerns to police online or by calling 101. Always dial 999 in an emergency.

The spokesperson said: “There are a number of steps residents can take to property their property, including alarm systems and CCTV cameras.“If you have been the victim of a burglary please report [it] online or by calling 101 – always dial 999 in an emergency/burglary in action.”
