Bike stolen from person in Crawley forest

A bike was taken from a person while they were in a forest in Crawley, according to police.

Officers said at 11:30am on Saturday, October 22, they received a report of a mountain bike being stolen by a man in Tilgate Forest.

A Sussex Police spokesperson added: “The victim was approached by a man who claimed ownership of the bike before pushing him and making off in the direction of K2. The bicycle is a blue and black Norco Charger thought be worth around £650. The suspect is described as wearing all black with a red and black handkerchief covering half of his face.”

Anyone who was in the area at the time or has seen the bike is asked to report it to police online or by calling 101 quoting serial number 430 of 22/10.
