Concerns about tree felling

Residents in Climping have expressed concerns over the felling of a large number of trees along the A259.

A total of 175 trees are being felled because some have fallen down and are considered a danger to the public.

The trees were made the subject of a Tree Preservation Order in 2004 and last August Arun District Council agreed that a programme of surgery could be carried out by the Mulgrave Estate, which owns the land where the trees are situated.
