Children on stage with Meistersinger
PICTURED here on the balcony outside their dressing room at Glyndeboune Opera House are seven very excited children from Bexhill.
They are pupils of the East Sussex School of Performing Arts (esspa) and are appearing in Richard Wagner’s Die Meistersinger Von Nuremberg, which opened the festival season last Saturday. Meistersinger runs twice weekly until the June 26.
In the orchestra pit is The London Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Jurowski and the opera stars Gerald Finley as Hans Sachs.
