Caring Community fundraiser

Margaret von Speyr, who set up the event said: "I organised the coffee morning to raise much needed funds for the Community Room project".

The idea of the project is to make a drop-in day centre for all members of the community.

Bexhill Caring Community has been in existence for over 40 years and is one of the oldest charities in Bexhill.

The aim of the charity is to enable elderly and disabled people to stay in their own homes for as long as possible, through providing help with things such as personal care, shopping and transport.

The charity would like to thank all of the staff at Grosvenor Park nursing home.

There is a programme of fundraising events for the year, the next one being a street collection in Bexhill town centre on May 16.
