Camper van torched in Angmering

FIREFIGHTERS were called after a camper van was torched in the early hours of this morning.

The Winnebago style van, parked in Dappers Lane, Angmering, was ‘completely destroyed’, according to a fire service spokesman.

Three fire engines attended the incident at 4.30am. One unit is still at the scene carrying out an investigation into the cause of the fire.

Hose reels, four breathing apparatus and one hydrant were used to combat the flames.

The owner of the van has been informed. No-one was in the vehicle at the time.
