Building 600 homes on green field sites and declaring a climate emergency all in the same breath?
Is there something I don’t understand?
In the same week that your paper reports that Wealden District Council declares a Climate Change Emergency you also report that it has granted outline planning permission for the building of yet another 600 homes on green field sites in Hailsham.
Is this yet another risible example of ‘green tokenism’ or just plain municipal hypocrisy?
