Budgens keeps bus rolling

RYE supermarket Jempson’s/Budgens raised over £400 for Rye and District Community Transport with its annual Christmas raffle.

The volunteer run charity provides transport for all sections of the community and is highly valued by its users.

Rye store manager Andy Jackson said: “I am so pleased that we are able to support this worthy organisation. I would like to thank all our customers for supporting this raffle and prize draw”.

Andrew Jempson added: “This is an independent local charity and is not part of the council or social services, therefore funding is essential to cover operating costs, so it gives us tremendous pleasure to be able to make this contribution to them”.

Pat Hughes, from Rye and District Community Transport, said: “It is with enormous gratitude that we are able to receive this cheque, our thanks go to the Jempson’s Budgens staff as well as their customers who so cheerfully participated.”
