Brede makes plans for Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations

PLANS to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee next year are already under way in Brede.

A special meeting is being held to discuss ideas and move plans forward.

The meeting takes place next Wednesday at Brede Community Hall at 7.30pm.

Organiser Cllr Bruni Llovet said: “It would be great if every group, club and society in the village, as well as the churches and school, could ensure at least one representative comes to the meeting.

“This could be a great fund-raising opportunity and with four days to fill there is more than enough time for everyone.

“Everyone is welcome, if you want to have celebrations in Brede, come along and find out how we can make it happen.”

The celebrations take place next year from June 2 - 5 with the Monday and Tuesday being national public holidays.
