BREAKING NEWS: Fire service HQ to move from Eastbourne to Lewes
The decision was made at the Combined Fire Authority AGM today (Thursday June 18).
Members of the Fire Authority voted in favour of the move.
A spokesman said, “Naturally, this move will result in closer working relationships between the fire & rescue service and the police and in turn this will create operational benefits, improved communications and a reduction in estate costs over the medium to longer term.
