Bognor man gets to auction Wayne Rooney's shirt

WAYNE Rooney has put his shirt on a Bognor Regis hairdresser's fundraising success.

The England and Man Utd star has donated a signed England shirt to Daren Terry’s latest fundraising venture.

Daren is set to auction the framed piece of memorabilia in his bid to raise £7,000 to pay for a day’s running costs of Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.

Daren, 43, has worked closely with the hospice with his hair salon, Lotus Styling in Aldwick Road, for several years.

He said: “I am sure there are a lot of football fans out there who would love to be able to hang this shirt on their wall.”

Daren has also landed a top-class item to interest Liverpool fans. It is the use of Steven Gerrard’s private box for a home match at Anfield and the chance to meet the club’s icon after the game. Bids for both lots to Daren on 01243 862948.
