Bognor cyclist pedalling for Pudsey

A Bognor Regis cyclist will be pedalling for Pudsey next week.

Lisa Pollin begins a 270-mile ride from her Tamarisk Close home to Land's End on Tuesday.

She expects to reach the western tip of the British Isles next Friday.

The 27-year-old acting assistant shop manager in the town centre is confident she will complete her four days in the saddle.

She wants her energetic experience to raise some 500 for the annual appeal.

"I love cycling," she said, "and being outdoors in the open air.

"I also love a challenge and it would be too easy to just sit at home and pledge some money for Children in Need."

Lisa has recently bought a 21-gear specialised mountain bike to make her ride as easy as possible.

She augmented her regular cycle rides to work with longer-distance journeys to prepare for her charity endeavour.

Her preparations included completing more than 70 miles in an organised ride along the South Downs.
