The 14th century house has just been re-thatched for the first time since 1939.

The new season also sees new products in the National Trust shop next to the house.

Alfriston Clergy House was acquired by the National Trust in 1896 and was the Trust's first property.

It costs 3.25 (adults) and 1.60 (children) to get in and the house has a pretty cottage garden with seasonal flowers, a rare Judas tree and a medieaval vegetable planting system alongside.
