Arundel man in fatal car crash

AN ARUNDEL man was involved in a fatal car crash in Rackham on Friday (June 18).

It happened at 3.30pm on the B2139, at the junction with Rackhan Street, when a green Renault Kangoo collided with a grey Audi A5, driven by a 51-year-old man from Arundel.

A passenger in the Kangoo, 76-year-old John Robinson, of Rose Green, Bognor, was taken to St Richard's Hospital Chichester which serious injuries, where he later died.

The van's driver, a 70-year-old woman also from Bognor, was taken to the same hospital with slight injuries.

Anyone who saw the crash is asked to call Haywards Heath road policing unit on 0845 60 70 999, and quote Operation Sleaford.
