Arundel and Burpham’s rich history to be unveiled

HISTORIC tours will be shedding some light on the area’s past this weekend.

The first, in Burpham, will be uncovering the history of the village’s Anglo-Saxon fortress.

It will take place between 11am and 12.30pm and cost £5 per person.

The second walk takes place from 2.30pm-4pm. It will be a guided tour along the river, around the castle and through the town. The walk will see people learning about Arundel’s 1,000-year history and how things changed for the town when William the Conqueror invaded Britain in 1066. For details, see here.
