Areas near River Arun remain on flood alert
The Environment Agency said it would be monitoring the situation at Pulborough, Arundel and Houghton Bridge, where river levels remained high.
The EA has issued flood alerts for these areas, which means people living or travelling to or from them should be prepared for the possibility of flooding.

Hide AdHowever, tides are falling at Arundel and Houghton Bridge, and the EA said it was not expecting flooding in these areas.
In Pulborough the EA is still using its pumps to reduce water levels.
Levels will remain high for most of the week, and it will not be until mid week that river levels fall significantly.
