Aldwick Council gives £12,000 in grants

More than £12,000 has been handed out by Aldwick parish councillors.

They have agreed to give the sum to 26 groups which help the parish’s residents.

The largest donation was £5,000 for the recently-formed TS Montrose Nautical Training Corps.

Other groups to have benefited were the West Meads Residents’ Association (£300), Sammy Community Transport (£500) and Rose Green and Pagham Youth Centre (£500).

The donations – which totalled £12,712.21 – came from the annual sum for discretionary grants.
