18,000 FLOCK TO COUNTRY SHOW

BRILLIANT sunshine brought a record 18,000 people to the Laughton Country Show at Stream Farm over the weekend.

For the first time, the car park was full on both Saturday and Sunday.

The show, which combines traditional Sussex farming practises with wholesome family fun, featured another first '“ Joseph's 'amazing racing pigs', which were a great hit with the children.

The audience joined in as well, and crowd participation was also part of the ever-popular falconry display.

There was also a chance to steer a venerable steam-driven traction engine in exchange for a modest donation to Vision Africa.

Some 200 was raised for the charity which helps orphans and handicapped children in Kenya.

A traditional fun fair and wall of death riders were yet another attraction.
