Vocalists bring world sounds to Hastings

VOCAL EXPLOSION is a world music choir, which is set to storm Hastings with gospel, African music, and sounds from the Deep South.

Tickets are selling fast for the gig at Hastings and St Leonards Angling Club, where the choir will be joined by Hastings’ own samba reggae group Dende, and singers are drawn from all along the south coast from Brighton to Rye.

Run by the charismatic Juliet Russell, the choir has recently supported renowned Senegalese musician, Nuru Kane, at Rye Creative Centre and will soon be performing on The Stade (July 8), and at Party in the Park, in Bexhill (August 11) with more dates to be confirmed over the summer.

Doors open at 8.15pm, and the gig begins at 9pm.
