The director of global horror-hit ‘The Dead' and multi award-winning thriller ‘Never Let Go' (Released by Sony Pictures/Netflix) has not only taken a spectacular twist in career path by bringing his first family film to the screen with Adventure Boyz, but is now donating 25 per cent of all proceeds from the newly released DVD to the NHS.

Originally inspired by what Howard Ford considered to be the ‘Global Disaster' of children focusing on devices rather than engaging in real-life adventures, Adventure Boyz is the world's first feature film to inspire children to, as the tag line puts it ‘Get off your device and get out there!'

Howard said: "It's not the release I dreamed of but everyone is having to adapt in some way right now and I'm proud of the fact I have not only made a film that can be enjoyed by all ages, but also to be able to donate 25 per cent of all proceeds from our DVD sales here in the UK to the NHS, our real-life hero's, is an absolute honour."

Howard was driven to create Adventure Boyz to demonstrate to his own children, Rory (9) and Felix (7), that the most exhilarating experiences are in the real world and by casting them as the leads in the film it ensured they experienced their very own unforgettable adventure. With an outlandish plot revolving around Speedway racing, stolen jewels from a royal castle and escaping bumbling criminals on BMX there is plenty of action and a lot of laughs too.

"If I were a carpenter, I'd have made them the best tree house I could, but I'm a filmmaker, so what else could I do?!" exclaimed Howard.
