There were about 30 people taking part in the bat-making workshop at Littlehampton Library, including the parents, who were keen to get involved. The council told the Gazette it was a lot of fun and there was a great atmosphere. Some of the children were making whole families of cardboard bats and enjoyed using them to scare everyone who came into the library. Other venues included the Look & Sea Centre, The Dairy Community Centre and the New Millennium Chamber. The council said it was important top provide free activities, for the residents and to help promote the town by bringing in visitors.
