An inquest was held at Eastbourne Town Hall on Thursday (July 29).

The inquest heard Mr Brooker was a ‘delightful gentleman’ who had worked as a mechanic for the Eastbourne car firm and enjoyed looking after classic cars.

Coroner James Healy-Pratt said Mr Brooks had probably suffered a stroke which led to the fall at his home in November and he then developed pneumonia.

A verdict of death by natural causes was recorded by the coroner.
