A popular Worthing singer has teamed up with one of her regular venues to launch a lunch deal with free live entertainment.

Kim Bonsor sings in pubs, clubs and care homes, as well as at weddings and private functions across West Sussex.

The George & Dragon in Tarring is a regular haunt and landlady Linda Shiel has been working with Kim on a special lunch deal for the over-65s.

Kim explained: "I have been wanting to do something for the elderly for some time as a lot of my neighbours say it's too late in the evening to go out and watch me sing.

"I perform in care homes but wanted to reach the elderly who are still living at home, so I approached the George and Dragon. They are going to do a reduced lunch menu and I have offered to entertain at a reduced rate, so we can give some of the older locals a nice afternoon.

"The lunch is not just for the elderly, it’s for anyone over-65 and we hope it will be a nice social afternoon with good, low-cost food and music, and hopefully some dancing."

The Senior Citizens Lunch will launch at The George & Dragon, High Street, Tarring, on Tuesday, November 14. Main meals from a selected menu will be £7.99, with free live entertainment from vintage singer Kim Bonsor, performing songs from the 1940s to 1970s.

Future lunch dates include Tuesday, January 23, and Tuesday, February 20, all running 12pm to 4pm. Book your table now on 01903 202497 to avoid disappointment.
