It was recently labelled as overall business of the year at the Arun business awards, with company boss David Wride walking away as business person of 2014.

So it seems timely that he has been nominated, along with chairman John Humphery and finance director Lois Humphery for the lifetime achievement accolade for our awards.

According to their nomination form, all three have been selfless in their charity work alongside the business.

“David puts the success of the company down to his workforce and has terrific pride in his team,” it said.

John has been battling cancer for the past three years and Lois is battling multiple sclerosis and is also John’s carer.

The person who nominated them said: “Despite those illnesses, both have been able to support David Wride in the evolution and revolution of their business. David on the other hand has been an absolute rock in supporting John and Lois through their illnesses, whilst maintaining the professionalism and dedication to grow their business.
