Anglers to gather at Chichester in memory of tragic Richard

Stedham Angling Club are inviting anglers of all levels to take part in the annual Richard Morgan memorial fishing match on Sunday, July 31, at the Chichester Canal in Hunston.

The draw will take place at 8am, with the fishing starting at 9.30am and ending at 3pm, with the weigh-in to follow. Tickets are £15 each, with the proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support’s Midhurst branch.

The trophy was set up more than 40 years ago by the parents of Richard, a former member of the club who died of cancer at the age of 21. The club have been proud to host the match every year in his memory.

Stedham AC are a small and friendly club who welcome anglers of all capabilities.

The aim of the club remains the same as the day they were formed – to give members the opportunity of enjoying their chosen sport in beautiful countryside which, to quote the club’s motto, is ‘Nulli Secundus’ (second to none).
